I’m Moving Back to Brighton!

Yaaaaaay!

I know my blog says I’m Brighton-based, which is partially true as I spend my free time there, but for the past year me and my girlfriend Helen have been living in a little nearby town called Seaford. Lovely though it is, there’s not a lot going on, so we’ve been desperate to move back to Brighton ever since our landlord sold our flat last year.

After a lot of saving, searching, and disappointing viewings (those letting agents really know how to talk up a shithole!), we’ve finally found a beautiful flat in central Brighton that’s perfect for both of us.

Top of my wish list were a bath, a garden, built-in bedroom storage and room for a table and chairs in the living room. Our new home has all of that, and is also beautifully finished with wooden floors and crisp white walls. It’s a little bit pricier than we originally budgeted for, but we’ve decided to go for something slightly more expensive, as we know it will make us happy. It’s a stone’s throw away from the beach (hello summer 2017!), a 5 minute walk from Revenge (uh oh), and perfectly placed on the Pride parade route (because that’s obviously the no. 1 consideration when renting a flat!)

We move in on the 25th March, which isn’t far away at all (although time feels like it’s going veeerrryyyy slowly…) and I’m very excited about sharing the experience with you as we decorate and accessorise each room. There’ll be pastel shades and mixed metals EVERYWHERE!

Do you have any tips for me as I prepare for moving day? Let me know in the comments!
